
Biography of Rev. HyunJung Choi
Rev. Hyun Jung Choi was born in Incheon, South Korea, to faithful parents. She grew up in the same community and served as a director of children’s ministry at her home church before moving to the United States. Her first residence in the U.S. was in Northern Virginia. She later relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, to pursue her theological education and graduated from Saint Paul School of Theology. Since graduation, she has been appointed to serve churches in Kansas.
Rev. Choi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from Korean Methodist University in Seoul, South Korea, and a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Ewha Womans University in Seoul. After coming to the United States, she completed her Master of Divinity at Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri.
She is an ordained Elder in the Great Plains Conference of the United Methodist Church. Rev. Choi is passionate about connecting with people, sharing faith, listening to their stories, and building meaningful relationships.
She has been married to her husband, Rev. Ilho Lim, since 2009. Together, they are the proud and happy parents of three sons, Paul, Samuel, and Joseph.
