United Methodist Men

The men’s group meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month in Fellowship Hall at 9:30 a.m. for breakfast, sharing of fellowship and devotions.

All men are welcome and hope all will come and join us.

United Women Fellowship

The United Women Fellowship is a service organization open to all women of the church. Our purpose is to know God, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participating in the global ministries of the church. Our prayer chain links every member together in praying for special needs. We pledge our prayers, our time and our gifts.

Meeting Schedules:

• Sarah circle – 1:00 p.m. on 3rd Wednesday of each month
• Executive Board – 1:00 p.m. on 1st Wednesday of each month

Angles in the Attic Blanket Ministry

The Angels in the Attic group is a caring blanket ministry dedicated to creating handmade Prayer Blankets for those in need of comfort, support, and encouragement.

• Meeting Time: First Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m. (Summer break: June through August)
• Location: Fellowship Hall

Each blanket is lovingly made and then prayed over by the congregation before being shared with church members and local nonprofit organizations. These blankets serve as a tangible reminder of faith, hope, and compassion.

All are welcome!  Join us for a meaningful time of fellowship as we create something special for others in our community.

Scouting

Boy Scouts

Mt. Vernon has one of the best Boy Scout programs in Wichita. Pack and Troop 614 started at Mt. Vernon in 1954.

Girl Scouts

Girl Scouting is for girls in grades K-12. Girls learn new skills, build friendships, give service to the community and develop values through hands-on learning activities. The church sponsors three Girl Scout troops for girls in Kindergarten through
9th grade.
